Chester’s rhyming becomes more emotional as the song. On the group’s record A Thousand Suns, the dynamic was switched up with Chester delivering raps while Mike delivered a softly sung refrain. But I have to say I respectfully disagree with you about Chester being a superior vocalist. The Linkin Park vocal dynamic was traditionally Mike Shinoda rapping and Bennington singing, with both of their talents playing off the other. Now, if Linkin Park ever decides to replace Chester, which I wanna say there’s already some talk about doing this, it’s likely not going to be a huge issue, especially considering that mike shinoda always shared some of their vocal roles. & even if there was for whatever reason, I guarantee 95% of deftones fans would have nothing to do with them any longer. Personally, even as a kid, I was always in it for the beats, the rhymes, the melody and the energy. Even though they have released only six albums in 11 years (two of which are remixes), the group have achieved album sales of over 50 million copies worldwide and won two Grammy Awards. Chorus I wanna heal I wanna feel What I thought was never real I wanna let go of the pain Ive felt so long (Erase all the pain til its gone) I wanna heal I wanna feel Like Im close to something real I wanna find something I wanted all along Somewhere I belong And I got nothing to say I cant believe I didnt fall. I relate more to Linkin Park in my 30s than I ever did as a teenager I realize many people say rock bands have literally 'saved their lives', whatever that means. There is absolutely, 100% without a doubt, NEVER going to be a replacement for him that would remotely work. Linkin Park is a six-piece rock group from California who broke into the music scene at the end of the 1990s. Let’s put it this way, if something ever happened to chino, God forbid, it’s over for deftones. his range is off the charts sick, unlike literally any other vocalist I’ve ever heard. Chester’s maybe a lot more polished & over produced a lot, & chinos a lot more raw & visceral. However, I honestly wouldn’t exactly say that Chester is a better vocalist necessarily though. What is Linkin Park longest song Part of Me Although the track runs for over 12 minutes, making it the longest track ever produced by the band (the second-longest, The Little Things Give You Away on Minutes to Midnight, is about half as long), the song Part of Me ends after 4 minutes and 6 seconds.
